Responsibilities

•Provide site leadership and communicate a clear vision that generates commitment and support from all field employees, workers and contractors. Develop and instill a strong safety culture and quality expectation that adheres to corporate standards and procedures
•Serve as the key interface point and coordination between the construction contractor, field team, project management, operations, and other 3rd parties
•Implement and adhere to the Construction Standards and Procedures
•Promote a positive contractor relationship that upholds each parties’ responsibilities
•Lead the morning meetings that promote safety, a daily plan, communication of critical information, and addressing concerns or constraints that arise. Attend contractor daily meeting, tool box meetings, construction progress meetings and other scheduled project meetings that required for the success of the project
•Actively plan, manage, and evaluate resources to ensure adequate oversight and competency of construction activities
•Ensure that client and contractor constraints are addressed by use of processes and procedures
•Ensure all daily safe work permits and site-specific hazard assessments are completed to minimum standards
•Issue accurate construction progress reporting and perform quantity surveys on a regular basis. Communicate on a regular basis any issues / constraints with recommendations to mitigate those, all of which that may have project impact related to construction activities, safety, costs and schedule
•Submitting AER and MER pipeline construction and hydrotest notifications for midstream pipeline projects

REQUIREMENTS

•Multi-year Project experience as an Owners Construction Manager (50% or greater of experience is working directly for an Owner/Operator)
•Valid Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word etc.)
•Post- secondary education, preferably a diploma or degree or relevant professional designation
•Pipeline designations are considered an asset.
•Percentage of pipeline project experience is a requirement balance can be facility projects.
•Experience with delivery of construction deliverables, contract formation and knowledgeable with project controls functions
•Ability to verify quality of work against technical requirements without trust of contractors and method of verifying against inspectors.

Responsibilities

•Reporting to the Manager, Commercial and Joint Ventures, the Long Range Planning Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining and updating long range plans.
•The Analyst will also conduct project evaluations in support of the Long Range Planning and Investment Committee cycles.
•Monitoring and reporting on key business metrics for the Atlantic Region will also be major components of this role. In this position you will interact with executive and management levels to answer questions, explain/interpret data, and clarify information provided in various reports. Therefore, you will be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively in a stressful and deadline-driven environment.
•Assisting in organizing and coordinating development of the Atlantic Region long range plan.
•Creating economic models applicable to business operations including discounted cash flow / break-even analysis
•Organizing and coordinating internal senior management level presentations and occasional external presentations.
•Preparing ad hoc analysis, reports, and responses to information requests.

REQUIREMENTS

•A related post-secondary degree (e.g. Business).
•A minimum 2-5 years of related experience.
•Comprehensive understanding of business analysis/economic evaluation.
•High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

•Ensuring that all passengers that travel offshore are compliant from a training certification and COVID-19 vaccination perspective
•Collaborating with offshore supervision and onshore stakeholders to capture operational requirements
•Managing and optimizing flight payloads
•Prioritizing passengers on each flight as a means to generate payload bump lists
•Prioritizing passengers when experiencing weather delays
•Liaising with Service Partners and Offshore Supervision to overcome constraints pertaining to Personnel on Board (POB) (i.e. flight seats and offshore bed capacity)
•Advises Senior Logistics Supervisor, Offshore Leadership and Asset Managers of any potential schedule issues and provides guidance on corrective action and measures to mitigate any adverse trends
•Reviews work scope changes to evaluate detail POB schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of changes in the overall POB plan and flights
•Coordinating with the Integrated Scheduling team to ensure that personnel reservations align with planned work; provide input on how schedule changes impact flights and personnel on board
•Modifying regular rotation schedules in line with fluctuations in platform activity
•Generating flight and personnel related data and KPIs as required
•Drives and promotes capital efficiency on deployment of flights and logistics asset resources

REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Bachelors of Commerce
•5-10 years prior oil and gas industry (Logistics) experience preferred
•5-10 years of Planning/Scheduling experience
•Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
•Basic competence in PLS, PTS and/or DaWinci is preferred
•Adaptability to changing priorities is a must
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests

•Minimum 5 years related experience in the petro-chemical/ oil and gas business with desired experience in fixed and floating production systems, topsides facilities and offshore operations support

REQUIREMENTS

•Primarily a software upgrade with conversion of software controls on ABB’s recent platform.
•Consoles and cabinets, cards, terminations, etc. will mostly remain as is, but some support for front end hardware will be required.
•Manage software change notice items through planning, testing on an onshore simulator and then implementation on the vessel with subsequent pre-commissioning and commissioning support.
•Support to commissioning and start up teams to write commissioning procedures and manage the turnover to operations from construction including any pre-commissioning activity planning/executing.
•Integration of a number of Management of Change (MOC) type projects that are being incorporated into the overall FPSO (Floating Petroleum Storage Offloading) facility which will require additional tags and configuration or control narrative changes.
•Maintain required updates to Terra Nova FPSO control system discipline documents and Cause & Effect diagrams

Maderra is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Electrical Engineer – Protection & Controls in St. John’s, NL.

Responsibilities

•Preparation of accurate and thorough design packages (specifications and drawings) that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good Engineering practice.
•Provide Protection and Controls Engineering leadership to complete assigned work scopes.
•Lead and participate in design review and constructability review workshops.
•Explore, analyze, and introduce new design concepts, solutions, and innovative methods for achieving the Project’s strategic objectives, relying on basic theory, first principles, and original ideas.
•Ensure opportunities for improvements to all aspects of performance (safety, environment, cost, schedule, quality, operations, and reliability) are actively pursued and championed.
•Visit Site(s) as often as is necessary to monitor compliance with the specifications, prepare independent site visit reports and inform functional groups of deviations.
•Participate in commissioning and turnover stages of projects.
•Provide technical leadership in the resolution of post commissioning start-up issues.

REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
•Previous experience working on diesel generators.
•Minimum of 10 years’ Protection and Control design experience with a background in Consulting Engineering or Industrial/Utility facility design and/or Operation.
•Familiarity with Codes and Standards such as IEEE, IEC, CSA, etc.
•Familiar with national/local electrical codes and applicable standards.
•Expertise in high, medium, and low voltage distribution.
•Experience in working in energized heavy industrial facilities, operating hydroelectric or thermal power plants, with knowledge of associated safety systems.
•Experience with computer applications related to the electrical discipline as applied to electric utilities such as SKM or ETAP would be an asset.

Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Emergency Response and Oil Spill Advisor in St. John’s, NL.

Responsibilities

•Coordinate the development of emergency response plans, ensure alignment and integration of those plans with corporate policies, and ensure the needs of other key stakeholders are met,
•Develop, implement, support and instruct management and staff in emergency management techniques, including organization and facilitation of training and exercises,
•Maintain emergency response centre and team readiness,
•Support the provision and maintenance of offshore oil spill response equipment, including the management of response contractors,
•Stay engaged in current and emerging regulatory compliance issues, industry standards, and best practices relating to emergency response and oil spill equipment and preparedness.

REQUIREMENTS

•Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Marine Sciences or equivalent,
•Five years of related experience in emergency management and oil spill response in the offshore oil and gas industry,
•Completion of the Marine Spills Response Operations Course (MSROC) or equivalent,
•An understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) emergency response structure, including completion of ICS 100 and 200 at a minimum.
•Knowledge of offshore oil spill planning and response, including equipment deployment and strategies (e.g., mechanical containment and recovery, spill treating agents, etc.),
•Knowledge of the techniques associated with the cleaning and rehabilitation of oiled seabirds,
•Ability to complete technical evaluations of best management practices and technologies for oil spill response and make recommendations for implementation,
•Knowledge of critical incident stress management, emergency notifications and crisis communication,
•Excellent presentation, written communication, group facilitation and training skills,
•Knowledge of corporate and regulatory reporting requirements.
