Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Materials Coordinator I in St. John’s, NL.

Located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. Responsibilities

•The Materials Coordinator will perform and\or manage all of the activities necessary to enable effective end-to-end coordination of materials in support of Projects. Acts as the interface between the business unit and procurement. Actively interacts with planning, inventory, vendors, buyers and maintenance on a daily basis by providing customer support, effective & timely communication, alignment with business practices/controls and a high level of materials and services fulfillment for site maintenance activities.
•Verify materials availability for all scheduled outage/planned and emergent work, provide supply chain input into Plant/Mine equipment maintenance strategies where requested
•Coordinate effective and efficient logistics requirements for Routine and Shutdown work
•Consult with Procurement, OEM and vendors to develop best practices, procedures and standards with respect to materials availability
•Provide frequent updates on material availability to required parties (i.e., business, supply chain) and Lead in root cause analysis for failed supply chain processes
•Identify opportunities to consume Business Line Materials and destock inventory (utilize stock on hand)
•Influence B/L to select materials on hand or from preferred vendors
•Coordinate with logistics coordinator for timely material delivery
•Timely requisitions for break ins
•MDG requester for master data changes and improvements
•Provide guidance and assistance to the requester and supplier for getting a Vendor Master record created in SAP
•Identify SAP data issues

REQUIREMENTS

•7-10 years of closely related professional experience
•Bachelors’ degree preferred
•Broad knowledge of SAP material catalogs and search tools
•General knowledge of how and where materials are used in the plant

Maderra Personnel is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Construction Planner in Lloydminster, SK.

Located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. Responsibilities

•Experienced with all phases and scope elements of pipeline projects.
•Person experienced pipeline contractor labour, material and equipment estimating and forecasting.
•Develop plans based on budget, schedule and available resource.
•Demonstrate high competency with Microsoft Project and knowledgeable with schedule interdependencies and critical path methodology.
•Demonstrate high competency with Microsoft Excel manipulating data and streamlining consistent and accurate report.
•Deliver daily reports and critique and validate bi-weekly contractor deliverables.
•Monitor and validate progress against plan.
•Working knowledge and capable of validating construction CPI and SPI.
•Deliver accurate and consistent productivity reports and actions.
•Monitor progress of construction and verifies progress payment certificates
•Lead a multidiscipline team to ensure the pipeline project is constructed in a cost effective and efficient manner in accordance to the governing code, corporate specifications, best practices & regulatory requirements
•Monitor contractor’s compliance to HSE regulations to ensure consistency with Husky Operational Integrity Management System (HOIMS) elements
•Ensure all construction contractors, and other third parties construction activities are performed and meet contractual requirements and obligations while adhering to all applicable policies, procedures and safe work practices

REQUIREMENTS

•Graduate of an applicable technical diploma program, and/or combination of education and relevant experience
•5-7 years’ Supervisory experience in heavy industrial oil & gas construction project management
•5-7 years’ experience in large diameter pipeline construction and operation of gas and oil production facilities/pipelines
•Ability to read and understand construction documents including contracts, drawings, specifications, subcontracts
•Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and practices
•Computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications
•Valid Drivers License
