Responsibilities:
 Liaise between supplier, requester, and engineering for purchasing activities.
 Manage complete life cycle of all Purchase Orders.
 Ensure that outstanding purchase orders are expedited as dictated by operational requirements.
 Provide reporting (KPI’s) on all activities related to procurement.
 Manage interface with freight forwarding service provider.
 Stay abreast of changing market conditions and technology improvements.
 Manage Terra Nova supplier relationships and interfaces.
 Generate reports on purchasing activities that enable analysis of key activities
 Participate in the on-call rotation for Supply Chain – Materials and Procurement.
 Assist with the development and administration of all TN material Frame Agreements.
 Implement and maintain lifecycle of purchase orders and other procurement activities as required.
 Meet the demands of numerous stakeholders including internal and external with a continuous improvement ability
 Identifies approved suppliers to address supply (AVETTA)
 Ensure all procurement activities are aligned with SCM and BU strategy and procurement plan.
 Address procurement issues with all required stakeholders as they arise and use sound judgement when escalating to senior procurement staff and management.

REQUIREMENTS

 Business, engineering degree or similar post-secondary education/qualification
 5 – 7 years of experience in material control and material purchasing with at least half of this experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
 5 – 7 years’ experience in computerized material management systems with a focus on material control, material purchasing, warehousing, and logistics.
 Proficient in SAP
 Proficient in Microsoft Office
 Ability to apply procurement concepts to execute complex in daily work activities
 Requires communication skills and effective interaction with business partners and suppliers
 Demonstrated ability to lead multiple and changing priorities under tight deadlines with strong decision-making skills

Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Project Manager in St. John’s, NL.

This position will require periodic travel to Muskrat Falls, NL.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the day-to-day technical aspects of multi-disciplinary projects to ensure the safe, timely, cost-effective and high quality execution of project plans; while minimizing exposure and risk on projects.
• Refine project scopes, develop materials list, and identify long lead items. Create risk matrices, tender documents, scope documents and contracts. Create and execute the project work plans as well as any revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Coordinate the detailed design from field investigation through to completion of technical specifications and drawings.
• Monitor progress, inspect material during manufacture. Review test reports to ensure compliance with schedules, technical and commercial considerations.
• Created several tracking systems and documents to help monitor progress, keep work on budget and schedule.
• Provide engineering and technical services to the Operations Section by investing equipment failures or malfunctions and recommending solutions for the same.
• Review shop drawings, field erection procedures, assembly drawings and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience ;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management;
• Experience managing maintenance activities;
• Experience working in a hydro electric plant;
• Excellent computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office ;
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment; and
• A valid driver’s license will be required as there will be some travel involved.

Responsibilities:
• Fire Water System P&ID development
• Fire and Safety Layouts including fire exposed, fire water, fire and gas, fire and safety equipment, and electrical area class.
• Fire detection and alarm layouts for buildings
• Fixed suppression systems including gaseous, water mist, and dry chemical layouts
• Water spray and foam system layouts and 3D modeling design
• Escape and Egress layouts including life safety equipment
• Run 3D model reviews for fire and safety scope
• Provide input to project planning and scope to project lead.
• Coordinate with other engineering and design disciplines to meet safety in design and other project requirements.
• Interface with Client representatives and subcontractors.
• Familiar with onshore and offshore oil & gas and safety regulations to assist in project compliance.
• Performs field surveys and inspections at project construction sites
• Fire and safety requisition package support
• Support lead engineer as deemed necessary to meet project demand

REQUIREMENTS

• 10 or more years of experience performing fire and safety design in the oil and gas industry (fire water supply and distribution, water spray deluge, fire and gas detection, access / egress studies, etc.).
• Proficient with 2D drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation), 3D model (SP3D), P&ID (SPPID), laser scan (LFM), smart plant review (SPR), and standard office software.
• Experience in refineries or petrochemical plants.
• Experience in offshore design.
• Familiarity with process systems, utilities, layout and configuration.
• Effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
• Provide project deliverables including but not limited to philosophies, calculations, specifications, and drawings. Deliverables may include: fire protection system P&IDs (fire water supply and distribution, water spray deluge, foam, clean agent); other drawings such as fire protection equipment location plans, fire and gas detector location plans, egress and safety equipment location plans, fire exposed envelope plans; specifications for fire protection systems, fire and safety equipment, survival craft, lifesaving equipment; fire and safety equipment requisition packages; fire and safety study reports (fireproofing requirements, electrical area classification).
• Perform field surveys and inspections at project construction sites
• Provide input to project planning and scope, staffing and reporting.
• Coordinate with other engineering and design disciplines to meet safety in design and other project requirements.
• Manage and direct external subcontracts for specialty studies (e.g. blast, noise, etc.)
• Interface with Client representatives and subcontractors.
• Remain familiar with onshore and offshore oil & gas and safety regulations to assist in project compliance.

REQUIREMENTS
